Paper jewellery by Lucie Houdkova

The paper continues to be an innovative and versatile material and witnessing the fact that think so on this blog you can find several articles on this topic, also today I present an interesting project, as the title we talk about Paper jewellery by Lucie Houdkova.

Czech Designer is inspired by naturals forms to create truly unusual jewelry with paper but also, surprise surprise, with plastic creating a really amazing effect.

To clarify the concept that jewelry design go re-read with a more modern key, the Houdkova is part of the collective UNOSTO, founded in may 2011 to promote the design of Czech Republic.

For the Czech designer jewelry research is oriented towards the organic forms and experimenting with different materials, the research of balance and harmony become the key point of its production. Maybe conceives her jewel as an artwork with a double value: from object that adorns, complements and enhances the body (just like a jewel has to do) almost sculptural product, decorative, end in itself.

This collection Deep, created with paper resembles a mobile sculpture or a complement nest-shaped furniture, but as a jewel is exceeded.

Although this is not paper, but in this case, plastic, the collection Cocoons inspired by nature with a compact metallic coloured pods connected one to the other by creating perfect and infinite forms.
