The illustrations from Minjae Lee are amazing. The reason why I love is that I find it complex, multylayer and infinite. Are an explosion of uncontrolled color that conquest and hypnotizes sight and mind.

His illustrations give me impression of being sketches that have taken control. Like when you thoughtful and maybe you draw when you are on the phone or in the classroom during a boring lecture. It seems that each stroke is born from an unwanted gesture, not wanted and not thought. It appears that the subject has taken control of the paper with the pencil, has decided to speak out to complete the artist unknown.

These fantastic illustrations are almost three-dimensional, seem to be made on many levels with a strong graphic element, as in a film full of flashbacks that help to tell a single story.

Most of his illustrations depict women and his style is colorful and punchy created mostly with colored pencils and ink, to be a self-taught the result is exceptional. But fortune smiles those seeking inspiration. Our artist of Seoul has created an interesting video sped up titled Flower in 2012 that shows his art and technique. As you can see creates a pencil sketch but then finishes illustration with colored pens fine point, Letraset and watercolors.
