As promised, today's post dedicated to the Botanical Garden of Brera I visited during the Fuorisalone. It was a long time since I went to the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera on a tour and I must say that this visit to’Botanical Garden for the event Energy for Creativity I was very amused and also left a bit of melancholy.

Curious to find out what I am talking about? Then I tell you.

I graduated in Brera, some time ago, and examination for admission to the course design, lasted three days, one of which was the famous 11 September 2001, it is done in just one of the chaotic and humid classrooms Academy. Come in, turn right, second class.

Today is very different, but in good, to begin with the walls now are white just like my mom remembered (Yes, she also attended Brera), and general appearance looks more clean and tidy.

The Botanical Garden is left the same as I remembered. This time more crowded with characters in search of inspiration and design lovers.

The garden of wonders. A journey through the scents.

Yeah, a journey dedicated to perfume seen with the creativity of several well-known names of the design that have interpreted the work of the great perfume houses of the past.

This is an interesting concept, that is a reflection on the contrast between globalization and small business considering that in previous decades slowly we have witnessed the disappearance of small businesses and consequently of the many craftsmen who with their experience supported the continued creativity of the product.

Be Open, the International Foundation has promoted the event, chose to explore the world of creativity applied to small business identifying 8 brands today are no longer on the market to protect the experiences and knowledge.

As? Through the chemical composition of the essence and the design of an innovative and creative packaging that conveys the craftsmanship and the experience of the past.

Designers who have ventured in the enterprise had a dowry of a very evocative location, the Botanical Garden that allows you to absorb smells and colors of nature. You can touch the plants and follow the path to discovering the 10 golden installations dedicated to the recovery of tradition and craftsmanship.

A Vision in a Box.

The 4 models of ten projects by designers who have ventured in the bottle design that would cover the fragrance of the future.

What do you think? Are you convinced that the small craftsmen with their vast experience are a protected species? I think so and I think it's trying to go against thanks to the many students who are trying to recover the tradition.
