What you see are the faces fascinating and seductive of the American Illustrator Jennifer Healy. Are timeless faces, female and without body, enveloped and surrounded by nature. Sensual and delicate subjects made with colored pencils and with an amazing accuracy. Here's to you pencil illustrations by Jennifer Healy.

In addition to the technique and imagination I have to say that I also really like the personal side, or reasons that prompted her to create similar illustrations. Read what she writes on her personal site:

“I create because it’s what I’ve been doing since a little girl. Art can save when one has less than an ideal childhood. I still create today because I want to be able to give that same inspiration to another who may have nothing else to escape with.”

In fact the designer does not use only traditional products such as colored pencils but it is also dedicated to digital paint with results not disappoint. The digital medium, pen and graphics tablet, doesn't make it any less interesting drawings indeed, but in my personal opinion makes them too perfect almost artifacts. Its digital illustrations belong entirely to the fantasy genre and lose some personal flavor.
